Abstract

This short story was conceived and created through collaboration with physicist Rob Appleby, over a series of conversations around the commissioned subject of Laplace's Demon. All the contributing fiction writers were given a specific thought experiment to write a story about, and paired up with a scientific consultant. Each story is accompanied with an afterword from the consultant.
