Abstract
Speight et al (2013) suggest that employability must be “re -envisioned” and better integrated within HE. Tymon (2013) adds that employers view graduates as not ready for employment. To address this, GSM partnered with KONE, a multinational engineering firm, to increase employability amongst students. The project involved 65 final year students completing a credit-bearing project. The research data has been gathered by means of questionnaire, participant observations and interviews throughout the project. These have been used to measure student perception regarding improvement to their employability skills as well as the degree to which the project has positively impacted the company and contributed to business performance.
