Abstract

'Cegin y capel' was an installation of found objects, images, text and sound collated into an environment created to document Theatr Gadair Ddu’s research and development process when creating the performance 'Cartref'. Using the world of 'Cartref' as a focal point, the exhibition integrated artefacts from the Liverpool Welsh community's history with textual, photographic and filmic responses to the contemporary landscape of locations key to the history of this community.
