Abstract

This is a paper presented at the International History of Public Relations Conference 2014. It looks at the Public Relations techniques used during Harriet Beecher Stowe's tour of the UK in 1853. This tour was partly to promote the book Uncle Tom's Cabin and partly to take part in more general anti-slavery campaign activities.
