Abstract
The article evaluates a strategy to reduce the deployment of agency nursing staff at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust in England. The specific aim of the strategy was to ensure that a pool of nurses who were employed already, had received basic orientation training or had attended an induction program at the trust was in place.
