    Abstract

A concise history of Queer political theatre in the UK from 1968 to 2018. Using a mixture of archival research and interviews with key figures in the early days such as Don Milligan and Julie Parker this Introduction gives an original insight into the beginning of Queer Theatre in the UK. Figures such as Don Milligan who co-wrote one of the first gay plays with Noel Greig for the General Will in Bradford (Pre the arrival of Gay Sweatshop) have never been interviewed before, and give valuable insight into the early days of political gay theatre.
