N2 - This article discusses some existing techniques and methods in data analytics, which aim to identify, extract and assess insights from both unstructured and structured datasets. However, most of them have limitations due to either an over-specialisation or an attempt to provide a general “data panacea”. In this work, we will also suggest a potential approach, which aims to overcome such challenges. In fact, specific enhancements to the existing methods are likely to lead to the creation of a tool that is more suited to rapid decision making in business, through the use of clear visualisations supported by novel machine learning methods.
