Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

As an example of the New Argentine Cinema, Lisandro Alonso's slow Western, Jauja, adopts and subverts the look and affirmatory narrative of the classical Hollywood Western, creating an anti-colonial critique that fulfils an objective of the New Latin American Cinema of the sixties, namely to decolonise the spectator.
