Abstract

Daniel A. Gordon is a senior lecturer in European history at Edge Hill University and a member of the journal's editorial board Modern and Contemporary France. He was awarded the Alistair Horne Fellowship at St Antony's College to write his book Immigrants and Intellectuals: May'68 & the rise of anti-racism in France, Merlin Press, 2012. In this interview, he discusses the participation of immigrant workers in May 68, and how immigration struggles developed in France in the wake of the workers' and students' uprising.
