Abstract

A Max for Live device that expands Ableton Live's native functionality by affording a variety of ways, both random and predetermined, in which to automate global tempo transitions, thus affording compositional/performative possibilities such as accelerandos and rallentandos that are generally difficult to orchestrate when composing/performing music with a computer inside a digital audio workstation (DAW). Version 1.01 introduces the ability to unlink transition starting tempo from Ableton Live's global tempo, allowing it instead to be modulated/automated independently.
