Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of anti-doping policy from the 1960s to date; identifies an expanding legal, regulatory and administrative infrastructure to address doping in sport; details a case study of doping in Russia; and assesses the prospects for effective world-wide governance in respect of doping in sport.
