Getting to a Better Place: Copoiesis as a creative tool in Arts and Health

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

Abstract

Professor Lucy Bray and lecturer and choreographer Michelle Man will be sharing documentation and reflection on the dance work Getting to a Better Place (2017). This piece was made in response to and in collaboration with the research which examined a befriending scheme to support parents whose children have a disability or additional need. The poetry generated from the research became the choreographic score for devising an artistic framing and performance that sought to vitalise and give a sensitive plasticity to the parents’ journeys of ‘getting to a better place’.
