The process of transition from primary to
secondary school has always been an area
of interest in particular to those delivering
design and technology. Here as she
completes her second year of teaching,

catches up with ex-trainee Jen Caudrelier at
her school Ashton Community Science
College, Preston, to find out more about
the rationale behind a unique Year 6
enhanced programme of transition.
