Abstract
This blog explores ongoing efforts to decolonise education in the UK, particularly in response to the increased inequalities revealed by the Covid-19 pandemic. It highlights the work of progressive educators, with a focus on a PhD project in collaboration with the London Borough of Greenwich. The research examines students’ experiences with GCSE literature texts to support inclusive curriculum development. Central to the blog is the Educate Against Racism (EAR) partnership, a borough-wide initiative aimed at addressing racial bias through research-informed teaching, professional development and leadership diversity. The blog emphasises that decolonising education is a comprehensive and evolving process that extends beyond curriculum content to include systemic change.
