Abstract

Here we offer an exploration of Daniel Guérin's personality. This illustrates the figure of a revolutionary militant on the move. For more than half a century he was involved in many causes. A trade unionist and socialist SFIO, a "Pivertist" and Trotskyist, an anti-fascist, a militant of the homosexual cause, an anti-colonialist and anti-racist, a libertarian, he was also a recognized historian of the French Revolution. In the synthesis of Marxism and anarchism, Guérin sought to overcome political antagonisms.
