Abstract
It needs to be recognised that although my political standpoint begins with feminism, it is also deeply grounded in the notion of working class self-determination. In order to engage in a struggle for collective working class self-determination I embrace feminism, as that becomes the vehicle by which I position myself as a femal in the centre of the struggle, which encompasses the intersection between class and gender. In this capacity, as a teacher and researcher, there is an understanding of domination with a critique of domination in all its forms.
