Abstract

ConSequence is a new work created in collaboration between The Pointe Youth Dance Company and Dance Syndrome. Choreographed by Bettina Carpi, the work aims to raise awareness of the 100,000 Genomes Project, and was specially commissioned by The Greater Manchester Genomic Medicine Centre. The work delves into the scientific and aesthetic actions and behaviours of genes, and DNA, looking at shape, space and relationships.
