Abstract
This is a satire on the contemporary world of Premiership football, an experimental novel in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd person focusing on the fictional life of Mikey Wilson, the least successful player ever for Manchester United. Based on research around several real players of the era, the book seeks to explore the possibilities of the field of 'faction' writing championed by leading contemporary novelists such as Gordon Burn and David Peace.
