    Abstract

The present work aims to establish a methodological approach to the studies of aeolian and sediment dynamics carried out in some beach-dune systems of Mallorca and Menorca (Balearic Islands). The use of 2D anemometers will allow to better understand the wind behavior which, complemented by using vertical sediment traps (Leatherman), will give the chance to compare aeolian dynamics with patterns of sediment transport under a determined atmospheric conditions. This method can increase the knowledge about the beach-dune systems in the Balearic Islands, furthermore to help at the time to reduce the important erosion processes suffered by wind.
