AIoT as New Paradigm for Distributed Network

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

The advances and convergences of networks, intelligent systems, fast information processing, and new integrated communication technologies have shaped the Artificial Internet of Things (AIoT) networks. These more complete and intelligent services and applications make these networks more complex and challenging. The development of intelligent distributed systems in AIoT is still under consideration. This chapter presents the existing state of the AIoT network and reviews recent AIoT developments. Various computational frameworks, challenges, and opportunities are discussed for the effective deployment of AIoT networks. This chapter also addresses the complex problems of various AI-based IoT applications and discusses suitable existing architectures, hardware, and software platforms for AIoT networks. In addition, this chapter explores solutions like software-defined networks, edge computing platforms, and other enabling technologies for AIoT networks.
