Abstract

This chapter is the concluding chapter of the book Health Psychology in Action. Health psychology is still young, and shows few signs of becoming fixed or fixated. It is an evolving organism, and as the authors say, change is a good thing and a source of anxiety simultaneously. In this book, the authors have found the roots of health psychology, its present and its future. It is probably fair to say that every health psychologist has a slightly different opinion as to where the discipline is heading in the United Kingdom and beyond. These opinions reflect the variety of priorities, roles and responsibilities that different health psychologists have in their employment.
