Abstract
The legacy of Dr Arnold Bloom is recorded on the Diabetes UK Roll of Honour which aims to acknowledge people who have played an exceptional role in the history of diabetes. It is an incredible honour and a privilege to be awarded the 2023 Diabetes UK Arnold Bloom Award and for the opportunity to deliver this lecture.
