The role of music in informal language learning and the L2 classroom

Project Details

Description

This research explores how classroom-based foreign language education through music and pop songs links to informal language learning outside of the classroom, with a focus on how foreign language learners find and use songs in a new language to support their linguistic skills, as well as intercultural understanding. The role of music (and new technologies) in informal language learning has important implications for foreign language educators and for L2 learners.
