Description
This is a study of the financial and administrative records of Furness Abbey, to understand the management of the abbey in the period leading up to its dissolution in the sixteenth century.
Key findings
Project is at an early stage. Initial work is focusing on dispute resolution, and also comparing the financial records at Furness with those at Paisley Abbey (Scotland).
