Research to explore recruitment and retention in adult social care, within and across systems

This research is funded by Skills for Care. The aim of this research is to identify best practice, potential barriers, and proposed solutions in the recruitment and retention (R&R) of the adult social care (ASC) workforce at both the provider and system levels. The research will also examine how these levels need to work together — for example, what conditions must be in place at the system level for provider-led interventions to succeed, and what provider practices are needed to maximise the impact of system-wide initiatives.
