Biography
Tina began her medical career on graduating from The University of Liverpool in 2012, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours. Bewteen 2012-2014 Tina went on to complete clinical training on the Foundation Programme (FY1/2) as a junior doctor in the North West of England, working across a range of clinical specialities in: General Medicine/Stroke, General Surgery/Vascular surgery/Orthopaedics, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and General Practice. Tina then successfully completed her training in General Practice, attaining Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2021. Since qualifying as a General Practitioner (GP), Tina has developed a portfolio career, clinically practising as a GP, whilst developing her role in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
Tina continued her medical education training after successfully securing a post-CCT Fellowship programme with HEENW for development as a medical educator. During the Fellowship Tina completed the postgraduate certificate in Medical and Health Education with The University of Manchester, completing the teaching qualification in June 2024.
Tina has a clinical interest in managing patient's who present to primary care with multimorbidity, frailty and complex care needs.
Tina is an active member of the Mersey 'Deep End' project, with her interests sitting in delivering high-quality education in primary care, in areas with high indicies of social deprivation, and the impact of teaching and learning in these environments for student's, teachers and patients, alike.
Teaching
Undergraduate Teaching
Tina has worked as a Senior Lecturer in General Practice at Edge Hill University Medical School (EHUMS) since November 2022. Tina teaches across the programmes in the Faculty of Medical Education; Foundation Year (FY) /MBChB and Physician Associate (PA) Programmes.
Tina leads on primary care teaching development and delivery and is head of Y3 MBChB primary care.
Tina has a keen interest in developing student experience of longitudinal relationships in clinical practice, and the importance of continuity of care and management of complexity and uncertainty in undifferentiated populations of primary care. Tina has worked on developing assessments in the programmtic workplace-based assessment, introducing longitudinal clerkships into the programme.
Postgraduate Teaching
Tina is a General Practitioner, with a keen interest in postgraduate medical education. Tina is a qualified Clinical Supervisor, accredited by Health Education England North West (HEENW), to continue on the training programme for Educational Supervisor accreditation.

Tina is a member of the Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC).
