Research activity per year
I completed my PhD in Plant Science at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, in 2015, and soon after, I joined University College Dublin (UCD) as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. There, I explored how climate change affects crops and tropical plants - fascinating stuff! Today, I’m thrilled to be the Associate Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange, as well as a Reader in Plant Science. My love for plants is at the heart of everything I do, and I’m always excited to share my passion and research with others as we work to better understand the wonderful world of plants!
My research interests include crop sciences, plant ecology, taxonomy and physiology, climate modelling and global change. Over the past few years I have had a partciular interest in protected horticulture and I am currently the chair of the Greenhouse Innovation Consortium and an InnovateUK ADOPT project faciliator.
I am currently teaching on the following modules:
