BIOGRAPHY

Dr Stuart Marsh (FCCA) joined Edge Hill University Business School in June 2021, he is a fully qualified accountant and held a senior position at one of the big four accountancy firms before moving to academia at another University in 2010. He has a wealth of experience working with large blue chip and government organisations as well as smaller private companies.

His academic experience covers lecturing a wide range of accounting and financial modules such as: Auditing and Assurance, Corporate Reporting, , Advanced Financial Reporting, Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Taxation and Management Accounting for both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. He also has been lecturing professional courses such as the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

He also holds an MSc, and a Doctorate in Accounting with a focus on corporate reporting and audit quality. Upon completion of his thesis, he was invited and contributed to the 2019 Sir Donald Brydon review in relation to improving audit quality and effectiveness.
