Steven has a key interest in the biomechanics of sports injuries and is an active researcher in the field of hamstring muscle strain injury.

Steven’s research interests stem from his time working as a Sports Therapist in professional football and focuses on training for the reduction of hamstring muscle strain injury. Steven’s key interests in the area pertain to the loading mechanisms of hamstring training exercises and their effects on muscle activity, joint moments and how loading may affect muscle strength and architectural adaptation.
