Biography

I am currently studying for a PhD in health and work as a Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement Lead and Researcher at Edge Hill University. I came to Edge Hill in 2019 to study for a MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and have since worked as a Graduate Teaching Assisstant in the nursing department and completed a PGCert in HE at the University. Previously, I worked as a senior children and young people's counsellor, specialising in working with survivors of sexual abuse and indivuduals who self-harm.

Research interests

My current research is focused on how outdoor adventure activites can be used to build resilience in female youth. I'm am interested in using co-design to build effective interventions and using arts based methods in research. I also have an interest in community-assets research with a focus on child, youth, and family mental health and well-being.
