Rebecca came to Edge Hill in 2019 to study for a MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and is currently studying for a PhD in health. She is also a Graduate Teaching Assisstant in the nursing department and completeing a PGCert in HE. Previously, Rebecca worked as a senior children and young people's counsellor, specialising in working with survivors of sexual abuse and indivuduals who self-harm.
Rebecca's current research is focused on how outdoor adventure activites such as; rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, etc. can be used to build resilience in female youth. She is interested in using co-design to build effective interventions and using arts based methods in research.
