    I currently involved in teaching the following undergraduate modules:

    Field Botany

    Ecological Genetics

    Plant Diversity (field trip)

    Biodiversity and Conservation (field trip)

    I also supervise projects on the second year Research Methods and final year Research Project module.

    On the MSc programme I teach Field Botany and Conservation in Practice (trip). 

     

     

    Biography

    I studied my undergraduate degree at St. Andrews, followed by a PGCE at the University of East Anglia before returning to St. Andrew for my PhD in plant evolution. Following five years as a school teacher in Norfolk I joined Edge Hill where I have been ever since. I also worked for the Open University for almost twenty years and have been visiting lecturer and extrnal examner at Universities in the UK as well as in Norway and Estonia. 

    Research interests

    I have undertaken a wide variety of research over the years. These have primarily covered the area of Ecological Genetics, Conservation Management and Plant Ecology. The conservation management work has been undertaken with a variety of stakeholders including Natural England, National Trust and the Wildlife Trusts.
