    Biography

    After earning a degree in Operating Department Practice, Nicola began their career within the NHS.  Nicola is dedicated and highly skilled with extensive experience in hospital settings.  Over the years, Nicola has demonstrated exceptional proficeincy in providing critical care during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

    In recogniton of their contributions to the field, Nicola transitioned into academia, where they now serve as a Senior Lecturer at Edge Hill University.  In this role, Nicola is passionate about educating the next generation of ODPs, sharing their wealth of knowledge and practical experience.  They are actively involved in curriculum development, research and mentoring students.

    Nicola is passionate about advancing the field of Operating Department Practice through research contributing to the broader discourse on best practices and innovations in perioperative care.
