Biography
Michael is a Lecturer in Criminology and has been teaching in Higher Education since graduating from Lancaster University in 2004. He is a fellow of Advance HE (formerly the Higher Education Academy) and has a wealth of teaching experience and has taught in institutions such as Chester University and has experience teaching International students from all over the world. Michael currently teaches on various Law and Criminology modules from levels 4 to 6 and co-ordinates the department’s ‘Fast-track’ module as well as undertaking projects with other departments including the International Office and Language School. He helped to develop and teach on award winning modules within the programme, such as ‘Learning Together’ which is taught in conjunction with a local prison. His research interests include violence within sport and moral panics around the misuse of drugs.
