    Research Interests

    My research has an action-oriented, interdisciplinary focus, drawing on eclectic and episto-flexible methodologies.  Its purpose is always directed towards theorising as a means to understand and improve, whether that be human and social conditions, or practices, thus my research is sited in communities, social and epistemological.  My work has a national and international reach, evidenced by invitations to present keynote addresses, lead KE seminars, and undertake editorial work. I have been awarded a visiting fellowship at the Centre for Community-Based Educational Research (COMBER), North-West University, South Africa.

    I currently teach on an MA Educational Enquiry and Professional Learning programme, and supervise research students at MRes and doctoral level.
