Biography

Lynsey has nearly 20 years of experience as a practising sports therapist within a variety of sporting disciplines.

Research interests

Lynsey’s current research focuses on the pedagogical practices and methods utilised within sports therapy teaching with particular focus on the student experience. She has previously studied sports therapy students’ experiences of using an online learning channel designed to assist practical skills within sports therapy teaching and also the use of problem-based learning strategies, in the form of case-based learning, in developing autonomous sports therapy students. Her current research is two stranded, exploring the efficacy of the sports therapy clinic through an exposure-based audit, and also the inclusion of eye tracking as a potential teaching tool in manual therapy.

Teaching

Lynsey Wilson is a senior lecturer in sports therapy with module leader responsibilities for level 5 and level 6 modules in manual therapy. She teaches across the undergraduate programme and provides supervision to undergraduate dissertation students. She also supervises level 5 and level 6 students within the sports therapy clinic at Edge Hill.
