Having worked as a Finance and Retail Network Manager for Post Office Counters Limited, Liz returned to Higher Education in 2004, and has been working here at Edge Hill since 2008, initially part time, lecturing for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Faculty of Health, and in Widening Participation. A full-time lecturer working on the Childhood and Youth and Early Childhood Studies programmes since 2011, Liz teaches in several areas, specializing in law and social policy for Childhood and Youth and Early Childhood Studies.
Research Interests
With a particular interest in children’s rights, equality and social justice, her research includes exploration of policy relating to behaviour management in early years settings; sex/sexuality education law and policy for children of primary school age and critical perspectives on the teaching of equality to undergraduate Childhood Studies students.
Current Teaching
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
