    Biography

    Over twenty years experience as a counsellor, working in the public, private and voluntary sectors with a rich diversity of clients and issues. Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a BACP senior accredited supervisor of individuals. Senior lecturer in counselling and psychotherapy at Edge Hill University and programme lead for BSc (Hons) Critical Approaches to Counselling and Psychotherapy. Formerly programme lead for the FdA and BA (Hons) degrees in Counselling at Blackburn College. External Examiner for New College Durham (2016-2021), Accrington and Rossendale College (2018 - 2020) and NESCOT (2021-2025). External Panel Member validating counselling courses for York St. John (2016), the Open University (2020) and Sheffield Hallam (2020). Honorary counsellor at Ormskirk Bereavement Service.
