    Dr Gibson is a senior lecturer in business and management at Edge Hill University Business School. He holds a PhD in Business and Management, a MSc and GradCert in Management, PGDip in International Business Law and a PGCAP in Academic Practice. His research interests are in corporate governance, the role of stakeholders and the management of sport businesses. Dr Gibson’s research on governance of European football clubs and the role of supporters has contributed to the Government’s review into football governance, undertaken in July 2021. Previously, he has also published on governance issues emerging from the state-back football industry across China.
