Research activity per year
Husnain Rafiq is a lecturer in cyber security at Edge Hill University (EHU). Before that, he was a PhD scholar at Northumbria University, Newcastle. His PhD research focused on employing machine learning to secure mobile devices against malware attacks. His research work has been published in prestigious venues such as IEEE Transactions, Springer Nature, and IEEE InfoCom. He has over seven years of teaching experience at different further education levels. Continuing his research, Husnain is interested in pursuing research in Image-based malware detection, Modeling adversarial attacks against ML-based malware detectors, Adversairially-aware ML-based malware detection, Digital Forensics, Secure ML and Randomization techniques for adversarially robust malware detection.
