    Biography

    Dr. Hayder is a medical doctor by training, with a specialization in forensic medicine and pathology, complemented by a doctoral degree in forensic genetics. His doctoral research focused on the genetic characteristics of the Iraqi population, specifically examining the Y-chromosome and mitochondrial DNA. Population genetics, forensic genetics, forensic pathology, and forensic medicine are among Dr. Hayder's areas of interest. 

    Teaching

    Hayder has taught anatomy and pathology across undergraduate and postgraduate provision in the Medical School. At present, most of his teaching is within the MBChB programme and the PA programme.
