    Biography

    After graduating from Edge Hill as a primary PE specialist, Glenn worked in a number of primary schools as a class teacher and PE subject leader. In 2003 Glenn was appointed as a Teacher Adviser for Primary PE for Lancashire County Council, where he provided consultancy, INSET and courses for teachers and schools. During the National PE strategies, PESSCL and PESSYP, Glenn was the Lead Trainer for Lancashire in the professional development strand of these strategies from 2005-2011. In 2014 alongside his PE advisory work, Glenn was appointed Head of Lancashire Outdoor Education Service. This role involved the strategic management of three outdoor centres and he was also worked as an Education Visits approver.

    During his time as Lancashire’s Primary PE adviser, Glenn was instrumental in developing the Lancashire’s PE Scheme of Work from EY to KS2. He created the Lancashire KS1 FMS baseline, teacher resource and the Early Years 5 FMS for Under 5’s resources. Glenn has also worked as a tutor, trainer and assessor for a range of organisations including the Youth Sport Trust, Sports Leaders UK, 1st4 Sport and British Gymnastics.

    Teaching

    Glenn is the Primary PE subject lead and teaches across all programmes spanning Level 4- Level 7 at Edge Hill including the BA (Hons) Primary Education and Primary PGCE. 

    Glenn in the module lead for the Primary PGCE with PE Specialism and teaches on all PE foundation and specialism modules at UG and Post Graduate.
