GILES BRISCOE

I’m a PhD researcher and teacher in the Social Sciences, researching how marginalised communities find meaning and connection through culture and their lived experiences. My work looks at belief and belonging - and how these shape the way we live our lives. 

I teach Undergraduate students at Edge Hill in discussion based seminars that are open, challenging and reflective. I care about making education feel relevant and accessible. 

I’m especially interested in community building, public engagement, and using research to create positive changes - both inside and outside universities!
