Biography

Emily Lovett is a Senior External Engagement Fellow in Sport, Physical Activity and Health. She joined the Department of Sport and Physical Activity at Edge Hill University in 2014 from Newman University, Birmingham. Emily gained her PhD from the University of Chester. 

Research interests

As a researcher in mental health, sport and physical activity, Emily's research interests include:

- policy and evaluation

- perinatal mental health, physical activity and parent support

- family leisure

 

Teaching

Emily is Programme Leader for the Sport Management degree and teaches on our MSc in Sport, Physical Activity and Mental Health. Emily teaches and supervises across the undergraduate and postgraduate provision and enjoys working with students to develop their knowledge and understanding of the broader context of sport and physical activity.
