Dr Deborah Callaghan’s research focuses on the mismatch between policy and practice in workplace contexts. Deborah has a particular interest in workplace bullying and harassment. Her Ph.D study focused on how anti-bullying interventions were enacted in a policing organisation. Her recent interests have explored organisational constructs of (in)justice; organisational spin and prejudice discourse in recruitment and development amongst intergenerational groups; knowledge transfer in multinational enterprises, corporate citizenship in family-owned businesses, and entrepreneurial marketing responses in biased consumer markets. Despite such broad scope, the central focus of her research interest is concerned with policy and practice gaps and how they impact on the employer/employee relationship at work.
