    Personal profile

    Biography

Formerly a British soldier who served in various parts of the world he started their career in Operating Department Practice in 1997. After working in several hospitals around the UK I started my journey in higher education in 2012 with Edgehill University.  Starting as a practice placement lecturer to a senior lecturer and a program lead for the BSc ODP program supporting students' transition to the workforce.

    Teaching

Although being a program lead for the undergraduate program this does not distract my passion and commitment to teaching. Embracing various pedagogy theories to enhance the quality of teaching to both undergraduates and post-graduates.

    External engagement

Dave has been an external examiner and had the pleasure of collaborating with and supporting Birmingham City University for several years.

    Research interests

My research interests are patient safety and supporting students in higher education
