Danielle is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant working in the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine at Edge Hill University. She is working on a project which explores the perspectives of children and young people with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and their parent/carers on their understanding of bone health and nutrition.
Danielle successfully obtained her degree in Psychology at the University of Liverpool in 2019 and in 2020 was awarded her MSc degree in Neuroimaging for Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Manchester. She began her PhD in Health Psychology at the University of Manchester in October 2020. Her PhD aimed to explore beliefs about chronic pain in children and young people with chronic musculoskeletal conditions, particularly the similarities and differences between those with inflammatory conditions compared to those with non-inflammatory conditions.
Danielle's research interests include health psychology, assessment, communication and management of long-term health conditions, health beliefs, behaviour change, mixed methodology, patient and public engagement, and mobile health tools.
