I have recently submitted my PhD thesis titled "Understanding the impacts of sport-related concussion and physical pain on mental health, cognitive ability, and quality of life" at Edge Hill University. Alongside conducting this project for the past three years, I have also taught various modules in the Psychology Department at Edge Hill University.
My research interests involve attempting to uncover the complex relationship between concussion and pain, and the negative effects that are so commonly associated with both. By better understanding the processes involved in negative outcomes such as poorer mental health, impaired cognitive ability, and reduced quality of life, we are in a better position to support those that have sustained concussion, are in physical pain, or both.
I have taught on numerous modules over the past three years including:
PSY1109 - Essential Skills in Applied Psychology
PSY1111 - Introduction to Personality, Social & Developmental Psychology
PSY1112 - Introduction to Cogntive & Biological Psychology
PSY1117 - Real World Psychology
PSY2112 - Developmental Psychology
PSY3129 - Personality & Individual Differences
