Biography
I completed my Undergraduate degree in Health and Social Wellbeing (1st) at Edge Hill University, before moving to Salford University to complete my Masters degree in Dementia: Care and the Enabling Environment. Following the completion of my MSc, I gained a position as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Edge Hill University, where I am still currently based. During this time, I am in the process of completing my PhD and teaching part time on the Undergraduate Health and Social Wellbeing course.
Research interests
- Undergraduate dissertation: Knowledge surrounding alternative therapies for the treatment of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia: A mixed-methods study. (2017)
- Masters dissertation: Horticulture in Health: Can nature-based activities impact the wellbeing of a person with dementia? (2018)
- PhD: Exploring the experiences of male carers, using visual methods (ongoing)

I recently acheived AFHEA accreditation for partial completion of the Postgraduate Certification in Teaching and Higher Education.
