Charles is a Senior Lecturer in Law in the School of Law, Criminology, and Policing.  Charles graduated with a degree in Business Communication before completing his LPC, with a commendation, at Chester College of Law in 1995. Charles worked in practice from 1996-2022 initially as a trainee and eventually becoming a partner in two of the firms in which he practised.

Charles moved into academia in 2023 being appointed a Senior Lecturer in Law at Edge Hill University. Charles currently works on the LLB and teaches Land Law and Company Law

He is a Member of the Law Society.
